Rules & Regulations

The Ohio Schoolgirls Lacrosse Association (OSLA) was the governing body for high school girls lacrosse throughout the state of Ohio until the start of the 2016-17 school year.  Effective with the start of 2016-17 school year, the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) is sponsoring both boys and girls interscholastic lacrosse.  Bylaws, regulations and all administration is being handed by the OHSAA.  Please go to their web site at www.ohssa.org for more information.

The OSLA documents listed below are posted for information only.  These documents are no longer valid.  They will not be update and have been replaced by the OHSAA Bylaws, General Sports Regulations, Girls Lacrosse Regulations and Tournament Regulations (when published).

OHSAA

The OHSAA governs a number of sports in the state of Ohio,  Effective with the start of the 2016-17 school year, boys and girls lacrosse becomes sponsored/recognized sport under Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA)

NFHS/US LAX

OSLA, and now the OHSAA> follows the US Lacrosse Women’s Rule Book – Official Rules for Girl’s and Women’s Lacrosse which is endorsed by the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS).  Exceptions, if any, to these rules are documented in the OHSAA Girls Lacrosse Regulations.
